Some people who are trying to grow their hair longer may be resistant to the idea of cutting it. They mistakenly think that they will be losing precious inches of hair, when in fact the opposite is true. If the hair is not cut regularly, split ends will develop and cause it to fray and break off, and ultimately look disheveled or unkempt.
